Stuyvesant Rebels vs. A.P. Randolph High School, 1/14/08

After giving up a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter, the Runnin’ Rebels, the boys’ varsity basketball team, were able to tie the game with 1.2 seconds left when junior Nolan Becker scored on a layup. Following a timeout by A.P. Randolph, senior Fredrick Carrero made the winning basket from behind midcourt. The Rebels lost, 52-49.

Rebels vs. Martin L. King, Jr. High School, 1/16/08

Following their dramatic loss to A.P. Randolph two days prior, the Runnin’ Rebels, the boys’ varsity basketball team, played another close game with Martin L. King, Jr. High School. The Rebels were able to send it to overtime after a two-point shot was made in the final seconds of regulation, but errors, including a bad pass late in the period, led to the Rebels 48-46 loss and dropped their record to 7-6.
