Senior SING!: A Life Saving Production

“Car-rrrrot, carrr-rot, carrr-ot, carrr-ot,” the large carrot of Senior SING! (Brittany Bishop) chanted. Though random scenes like the visit of a demented carrot were recurrent throughout Senior SING! 2008, the quirky randomness and humor of the entire performance showcased the seniors’ ability to function as perfectly as a human body. By teasing themselves and not solely the other grades (though the seniors couldn’t resist poking fun at Junior SING!’s board game theme), the seniors were exciting, funny, and synchronized as a grade.

Titled “Inside the Body of Gnis Roines,” Senior SING! 2008 was executive-produced by Marta Bralic and produced by Paul Silverman, Lily Warnke, and Eugene Golubitsky. After the brief appearance of a surgeon and a nurse on stage, the cast plummeted into the body of the patient.

Junior SING!: Stepping Their Game Up

Despite a relatively unenthusiastic opening to Junior SING!, the juniors proved themselves as formidable opponents to the seniors. The juniors left half of the audience roaring with laughter, and the other half “si-rent” after being offended. Despite a few weak points, Junior SING! was in general an excellent production that moved the audience—2 spots forward.
Junior [...]

Soph-Frosh SING!: The Script That Would Be

“[God] does not throw dice,” Albert Einstein wrote in 1926. Apparently, though, God does gamble—with Soph-Frosh SING!’s script, which left the audience “just a tad confused” in the words of Jennifer, the hick in this year’s Soph-Frosh SING!.
The plot of Soph-Frosh SING!, executive-produced by sophomores Stephanie Bartolome and Paul Lee and produced by freshmen Daniela [...]

Homework Policy Tested Over Winter Break

As winter break drew near this year, students sighed with relief. Their time to relax was nearing, and, thanks to a new vacation homework policy, they thought their break workload would be low. However, some students were unpleasantly surprised when teachers began piling on homework. Math papers 12 pages long and 360-question chemistry handouts were [...]

“Behind the stage and down the corridor the place was a disaster,” Teitel said. “Its been a perpetual problem.”
