The score was tied at 40-40 at the end of regulation. However, before overtime began and after examining the stat books that were taken by the team managers at the game, the officials declared that the actual game score is 40-38. After looking at video evidence taken by both the team and The Spectator, both the Rebels and The Spectator concluded that the score is indeed 40-40. Fisher asked the commissioner to allow overtime to be played, but his request was denied.
