SU Elections 2008

The future of the student body is invested in the Student Union (SU) general elections, to be held Wednesday, June 4. As the news provider that represents “the pulse of the student body,” The Spectator offers its opinions on our future leaders: the candidates for Junior Caucus, Senior Caucus and SU President and Vice President.

Following the primaries, The Spectator Managing Board sat down with each of the winning tickets on Wednesday, May 28 in order to assess their platforms and the benefits they can bring to the student community. The Managing Board prepared a variety of questions for the candidates that delved into candidates’ personalities, leadership styles, dynamics, knowledge of current events within the school and resourcefulness. After thoroughly interviewing each ticket, the Editorial Board chose the most suitable and capable teams.

The following endorsements highlight these candidates’ platforms, attitudes, past accomplishments and performances during the interviews with The Spectator Managing Board.

In Brief….

THE SPECTATOR ENDORSEMENTS:

Student Union President and Vice President:
James Kim and Casey Griffin

Senior Caucus:
Philip Kim and Jenny Han

Junior Caucus:
