  • At the Washington Area Model United Nations Conference, held at George Washington University from Thursday, March 22, to Sunday, March 25, nine delegates from Stuyvesant’s Model United Nations Club won awards or honors: two Best Delegates, two Outstanding Delegates, two Honorable Mention awards, and three Verbal Commendations.

 

  • Eleven sophomore math researchers have had their research papers accepted for the final round of the Greater New York Math Fair (GNYMF) under the mentorship of math teachers Gary Rubinstein, Oana Pascu, and Sebastian Stoenescu.

 

  • ​Eight Stuyvesant students were selected to represent New York City in May at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Pittsburgh, where they will compete for over $4,000,000 in scholarships and awards. More than 800 students citywide competed in this program, and nearly half of the finalists are from Stuyvesant.

 

  • Ninety-three Stuyvesant students qualified to take the second round of the American Mathematics Competition (AMC) Examination, which is more than any other school in the city. Out of the 93 students who took the exam, seven qualified for the United States of America Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO), while five qualified for United States of America Junior Mathematical Olympiad (USAJMO).
