Cross Country Fares Well at Cities
Tushar Gurjal, clad in the trademark red and white Stuyvesant cross country team uniform, suddenly emerged from the woods. Scattered around the dirt path that leads towards the finish line, a mere 800 meters away, stood a bevy of coaches, school supporters, and anxious parents. As the 110-pound senior sped by, a roar went up, and the tension that had been building for 15 minutes suddenly exploded into excitement.
