    The Stuyvesant fencing team entered this season with high expectations and an overwhelming desire for victory. They made it all the way to the final round of the playoffs, where the faced off against their rivals, Bronx High School of Science, the five-time defending champion. On November 13, Stuy went to the Bronx for the city finals after having one loss in the double-elimination playoffs and in trouble of elimination.
