    Phoenix, Successful Now, Put TheirStock in the Future

    The 2002-2003 season marked the rebirth of the Phoenix, the girls’ basketball team. For the first time since the late 1990s, the team was able to maintain a fiery start and overcome a late season plunge to make the postseason. Though the run ended quickly with an early exit in the Borough Tournament and a first-round playoff loss to Canarsie High, 59-34, this Phoenix team proved to the league that Stuyvesant was a PSAL contender once more.
